Who was responsible for the safety of Baby P?

Following the recent death of the baby in Haringey, the chairwomen has stated that nobody at the board should take responsibility for his death. If that is the case, there is no point in having the board in the first place. They may not have commited the actual murder, but they are responsible for not carrying out their duties in safeguarding this child after 60 visits in 8 months from social workers. Somebody is responsible and should be sacked. What do you think?

I have been very affected by this tragic case since I first heard of it two days ago. I can’t believe what they did to that poor little fella. I have two boys, one born after Peter, May 2006. I keep kissing and hugging him as if it will make me feel better. The mother was responsible for her child, apparently she already had three (where are they?) and has had another since. But seeing as she is an evil bitch, surely Sharon Shoesmith is responsible. She should resign (without entitlements) – how can she not take responsibility for her incompetent staff. I have emailed the leader of Haringey Council, Ed Balls, David Cameron (because I think he was right to call G Brown on it) and the LibDem member for the area.

How did the police drop the charges? What about the stupid doctor??? My son developed a cyst under his arm two months ago, and has had to have a series of blood tests to which he screams blue bloody murder. But the doctors continued to carry out the work they needed to do. here is a child, on the at risk register (does a hospital know this?), looks like crap, has horrendous injuries and doc doesn’t continue exam because he is cranky. Cranky? child was dying at this stage surely?

I am just devasted for this poor little mite, feel sick to my stomach and no one wants to actually discuss it with me it’s so horrendous.
