Newborn Baby Accessories

newborn baby accessories
Mothers, what pieces of clothing, or accessories, make you look like less of a slob?

In “Newborn & Baby” because this is directed at parents, whose clothing is by default “activewear,” machine-washable, not easily stained, etcetera. The answer here should NOT be “My cashmere skirt” or “Delicate jewellery”…

When you head out in your jeans and tee or whatever parent gear, what little thing do you feel makes you look at least a bit like a neatly groomed grown-up? Do you have shoes suitable for the playground that actually look nice? A stunning hat? Etc. Links to actual items appreciated.
These are great ideas — thanks heaps.

Particularly about well-fitted clothing (not so much stilettos, but no mind). I’m off to buy some tailored shirts…

…and earrings, I think.

Earrings and necklaces are a must! I am not a huge fan of bracelets (unless it’s a gift from someone or has special significance.) ..

Personally, I don’t like wearing shorts. I NEVER wear shorts unless I’m working out .. and even then I try to make it skorts! (skirts with built in shorts underneath) ..

I have some casual skirts (elastic) that don’t zip or tie ..

http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5489&pid=599642&scid=599642032

they’re very cute and VERY comfy! I have a ton of them and wear them daily.
Also, dresses are actually VERY comfortable and VERY quick for getting dressed!

It’s quicker to put a dress on than sweat pants and a t-shirt =]
These dresses even have the built in bra! So you just throw it on and you’re set! It’s probably the quickest thing you can wear!!

I love heels personally, BUT I also have flip-flops of every color! They’re only $3.00 – $5.00 per pair at Old Navy =]

http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/category.do?cid=39882

You can get a pair to match every outfit .. it looks as if you’ve dressed up and actually *thought* about your outfit even if you didn’t ..

I have some (PINK) skirts from Victoria’s Secret that I LOVE!! They are SO comfortable!! They are made out of the same material as their sweat pants. (They’re the PINK skirts; from the PINK clothing line by Victoria’s Secret. They’re called the ‘cheerleader skirts’ ..) ..

Just throw that on and a cute tank top (even one with the built in bra for extra comfort and quickness!)

http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=7524&pid=595920&scid=595920062

.. I have a ton of those in every color as well..
If you don’t want to do a tank top, throw on the skirt with a fitted tee.

If you want to look presentable while wearing your hair up .. just throw your hair in a pony-tail and curl your bangs:

Definitely do the earrings and necklace .. that in itself will go a long way .. and buy those colored flip flops!!
(and ALWAYS have your toe nails painted!! Either get a pedicure or paint them yourself while the baby is sleeping one night ..)

If you wear your hair back in a pony-tail just get some big earrings (like hoops!)

http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=56856&CatID=57596&GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=118a468&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CmCatId=56856|56861|57554|57596&mscssid=61df51e3282bd417eb1f6935ad639d8d6xMnVNoVzayWxMnVNoVzayo200B2ED2199CDF058F61791F2E3A70788DB00825601

and that will pull attention to your face and away from your hair being pulled back ..

Also, BIG sunglasses are a must!! Even comes in handy for pulling your hair back (off your face) when you wear your hair down =]

I never go anywhere without my sunglasses!!

AND a BIG purse!! I have a HUGE Coach Purse that I use for all my stuff and ALL my son’s stuff!

http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=11238&category_id=622

I just throw his crackers, toys, sippy cups, bibs, a couple diapers and some wipes .. and I’m set! =]

With the Big glasses and Big purse, you can’t go wrong! It makes everything else look small =]

Good luck! Have fun!! ..
