PostHeaderIcon Advantages Associated With Breast Feeding

Once you have given birth, breast feeding may be the one most critical reaction you can have to safeguard your child and aid to encourage good health. Moreover, breastfeeding is free of charge.

Along with saving you money on HMR (Human Milk Replacement), breast feeding can also enable you to keep health-related bills straight down. Babies which are fed using solution get sicker more regularly and much more certainly as compared to babies that happens to be breast fed They likewise have much more hearing microbial infection, breathing attacks, and other problems.

This can be even more real should your family has already established some historical past most typically associated with allergies. Every time a newly born baby is breast fed, all the antibodies pass on from the mom to the newborn, and helps to protect against illness and allergies. When the child’s body system develops, her or his system will start to make it’s own antibodies, and therefore he’ll be set to deal with sensitivities of food items.

Slurping at the breast will likely assist with the actual development or perhaps mouth alignment as well as the development of the cheekbone. With this very purpose, there’s less of the need for highly-priced orthodontic work once the youngster gets older.

In contrast to formula, breast milk is actually set, always readily obtainable, comfortable, and always the suitable temperatures for feeding. Plus, it has each of the natural vitamins and minerals your new maturing baby requirements, saving anyone a lot of money.

Breast Feeding also offers benefits for any mom too. The newborn child sucking at a breast will cause contractions right after birth, ultimately causing a lesser amount of hemorrhage for the mom, and also facilitating her uterus to it’s structure just before pregnant state faster.

Breast Feeding will also lose energy, therefore a mother can also lose fat much faster as compared to if she provided her newborn using a bottle. Breast Feeding will also build a special bond with the mom and child that’s 1 thing formula simply cannot do.

PostHeaderIcon Reusable Nappies Versus Disposable Nappies

New parents have a lot to think about, too much really when sleep deprivation and exhaustion have overhauled their life so when people jump on the parenting bandwagon and tell a new parent what they should and shouldnt do it can all get a bit much. From what a pregnant woman should and shouldnt eat, to breast-feeding and paternity pay, its a minefield and when you throw a nappy into the mix youre likely to cause a real stink.

There are arguments for and against almost everything and the one between reusable nappies and disposable nappies is no exception. It is true to say that reusable nappies are the more natural alternative, made from soft and natural fibres with the option of choosing organic cotton too and its nice to know that the babies of Britain are wrapped in natural fabrics which allow the skin to breath. Not only this, but by choosing the organic option, you will know that the cotton has been ethically and sustainably produced. Having said that, reusable nappies are designed to let your babys skin breath and while this breathability might be created artificially, using a mix of manmade materials, they have been tested to very high standards and they are designed to wick moisture away from the bottom and trap odours.

Aside from the pros and cons of manmade materials versus natural materials, the reusable disposable debate is one that is essentially green, from where the disposable ones end up to how much energy and water it takes to wash reusable ones. Disposable nappies have a bad reputation for personally clogging up landfills and this alone makes the argument for reusable nappies easy, or at least it would if nappy manufacturers hadnt cottoned on and started to produce eco-friendly disposable nappies. These eco-disposables are bleach free and the gel-free versions are perfume, dye and latex free meaning they should be better for your babys skin as well as the environment.

But these eco-friendly disposables havent got quite the rave reviews they mightve been expecting, which is unsurprising as they havent been developed over as many years with as much feedback from satisfied or dissatisfied parents. It would seem then that the best solution would be to use reusable nappies made from organic cotton when youre at home with the baby and pack a few disposable ones for convenience when youre out and about and as for choosing a disposable, this will have to be trial and error as results vary from baby to baby.

If you do decide to be kind to the environment with reusable nappies, make sure you dont counteract your good work by using an energy hungry washing machine. These days Bosch washing machines, Zanussi washing machines and all other major brands are independently tested and given an energy rating, A+ being the best performer and G being the worst in terms of energy and water used during an average cycle. Choose an energy efficient washing machine and make sure you wash full loads or choose the half load cycle if you need to and the same goes for tumble dryers, which are also energy rated so look for the Energy Saving Recommended logo when youre buying a washing machine online.

Parents should consider the health of the child and try to make their child healthy. In this article we are about to talk about the care to be taken while feeding your little one. Feeding your baby may be the most satisfying experience for you if you have became parent for the first time.  It’s your decision to choose the way you feed your baby- breastfeed or bottle feed. The method should be appropriate for you, your partner and the baby. In this article we have chosen the first way- breastfeeding. Breast milk contains all the natural nutrients that are needed to your baby for the development and growth. Breast feeding is perfectly matched for any child. Breast feeded babies may also have less risks of development of many dieses such as infections, asthama, leukemia, etc. Some breastfeeding benefits for mother include faster postpartum recovery; cost-efficient; convenient; reduces risk of breast, uterine, and ovarian cancer; quicker weight loss after birth. Sometimes you can not guess weather your baby is hungry or not. In such conditions, use clues that can be understood from the baby’s activities. Opening mouth wide like a yawn with tongue down and forward over the bottom gum, smacking lips and thrusting the tongue, bringing hands up to the mouth, fluttering eyes and rapid eye movement, crying, are the signs that your baby is hungry. If your baby is crying, it is important to calm the baby before trying to feed him or her.

You should take appropriate position while feeding your child. The position should be comfortable to both, you and your child. You should Support your baby’s head and body at the level of the breast.   Turn your baby completely on his or her side with nose, chin, chest, abdomen and knees touching you. Make sure your baby’s head is in a neutral position and your baby is ready to catch milk fro your breasts. Keep your baby’s body close to you by placing your hand and arm along your baby’s back for support. Support your breast with cupped hand (“C” hold) with thumb and fingers kept well back from the areola. Check out following points when our baby sucks milk. Your baby’s jaw should be moving in rhythmic motion. Baby sucks slowly and deeply with short pauses. You may feel any of the following normal occurrences in your body: uterine cramping, increased bleeding, thirst, breast ache or tingling, relaxation, sleepiness.

PostHeaderIcon Baby Health Issues Are A Big Problem Across The Globe

There are a lot of people that do not know how big an issue baby health is around the world. You have single teens giving birth everyday and they do not know how to take care of a baby properly. You have drug addicted mothers having babies on the streets. Some of these addicts would rather spend the last five bucks they have to get high than spending it on baby medicine or formula.

There is no way possible for us to fix all of these problems. We can try to stop the problem before it starts by educating our teens about how important it is to have safe sex. We can teach our teens about how having a baby can lead to them to not knowing or being able to take care of that child. There is always hope and we have to teach our young adults that they should never give up on their dreams.

If you or someone you know is a teenage mother, a pregnant teen, or a pregnant drug addict you need to know that there are people that can help. There are different types of clinics all around the world that can help you and your baby even if you have no money or insurance. These clinics are run on donations and doctor’s that selflessly volunteer their own time to helping.

After you have received help from one of these clinics it is time for your to start being responsible and grow up enough to be a parent to your baby. A lot of these clinics offer parenting classes so these women can learn how to properly care for their baby and keep their baby healthy. Newborns have an immune system that is not as strong as ours so we have to keep them away from germs and viruses.

Be sure to feed your baby from a bottle that has been sterilized along with a sterilized bottle nipple. Breast feeding can be healthy for your baby but only if the mother is healthy and drug free.

If you have used drugs during your pregnancy you need to be honest with the doctor so that will be better prepared to take care of your baby once it is born. Addiction does not make someone a bad person or even a bad mother if just means they are sick and need help.

A Parent’s Guide to Vitamins for Babies and Children

Parents are always wondering when to give their children vitamins and some wonder if they should use vitamins at all. The fact is that vitamins are a necessity for the body to function normally. But, what many parents do not understand is that children do not need vitamin supplements every day.

Mothers who are breast feeding can be assured that their babies are receiving an adequate amount of every vitamin needed except for vitamin D. Breast milk does not have a lot of vitamin D so it needs to be supplemented. Sunlight is one way to receive vitamin D but not many babies have access to this form of supplement. It is suggested that mothers introduce small amounts of commercial infant formulas which are known to contain an adequate amount of vitamin D.

Parents who have a child who is over the age of nine months, and is feeding them whole milk, will need to supplement vitamin C instead of vitamin D. Whole milk contains an adequate amount of vitamin D. Parents should provide vitamin C supplements until their child is eating fruits an vegetables.

Once a child turns the age of one their diet should include food from each of the four food groups. Eating a variety of foods from the four food groups is very important for the health and wellbeing of children. This also means that parents usually will not have to add extra vitamins and supplements to their children’s diet.

PostHeaderIcon The benefits of breast milk and the dangers of baby formula

In today’s world, more and more moms are choosing to feed their babies formula. What they do not know is that while it seems easier to feed them formula, it is also worse for their child. What are the benefits of breast milk? What are the dangers of formula?

BENEFITS OF BREASTMILK:

Breast feeding your baby not only provides an emotional bond between you and your child, it also aids in the babies health. Breast milk has many properties in it that cannot be reproduced in formula. Colostrum, for example, provides immunities for the baby. These immunities protect the baby from infections, and also help them to develope healthy working immune systems.

Breast milk is also easier to digest. Many moms wonder why their infant has tummy aches and digestive problems while they are feeding them on formula. The truth is, breast milk has the perfect mixture of sugars, proteins, fats and antibodies which allows your child to get the right diet, and it aids in digestion. Formula lacks these compounds.

Tired of 3am feedings? Having to get up, go to the kitchen, warm up water, then the formula, can be time consuming and tiresome. Yet, breast milk is always ready. It is always the right temperature, and it is sterile. No more worrying about your bottles being contaminated. No longer will you have to loose so much sleep! There are actually pillows that you can buy that are specifically made to cradle your baby while it is feeding. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Post Partum Stress Survival Tips for New Moms After Having a Baby

Post partum is part of pregnancy. It is the 6 to 8 weeks after having a baby. For a new mom These weeks can be a very stressful, challenging and confusing for new moms. Read on for great post partum stress survival tips to make this precious new mother/child transitional period less stressful, less traumatic, easier and more enjoyable for you and your new baby.

As a midwife I put a lot of thought and effort into my pregnancy and birthing experience. My first son was born at home in a birthing pool surrounded by people I loved. But none of my midwifery knowledge prepared me for the first few weeks after having a baby. For me the post partum part of pregnancy was very stressful and physically challenging. I had a long labor; every part of my body hurt and physically I felt like a truck had ran over me. I share with you some post partum stress reducing survival tips that made the end of my second pregnancy more enjoyable.

Arrange help for the household chores.

Stock your freezer with pre-cooked meals.

Schedule chiropractic adjustments during the first week post partum.

Have a good supply of large sanitary napkins and adult diapers in your hospital bag and at home.

Sleep when your baby sleeps.

Don’t be afraid to cry (and don’t worry about it).

Supplement with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are breast-feeding safe.

Every organ and system in your body is under a lot of physical stress post partum as they attempt to return to their normal non pregnancy state. High quality vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are safe for breast-feeding will provide the foundation to prevent post partum complications and result in an overall a better pregnancy experience.Pregnancy, childbirth and post partum results in changing levels of hormones.

After childbirth there is a rapid decrease in hormones that occurs approximately on the third, fifth and tenth day. These hormone adjustments can be emotionally challenging for the mother. You may cry for no apparent reason so let it out and know this is all part of a normal pregnancy post partum. As a new mom post partum be prepared to be exhausted. Take every opportunity to sleep whenever your baby sleeps.I am not kidding!

After pregnancy new moms will experience very heavy vaginal bleeding post partum and regular sanitary towels will not do the job. Most hospitals give new moms cheap sanitary towels post partum. This will also save your bed linen from been destroyed.

Pregnancy and childbirth moves many of your pelvic bones out of alignment (even if you have a cesarean section birth). Use the expertise of your chiropractor to realign your pelvis, hips and back. This will definitely reduce post partum stress and expedite your post partum recovery.New moms get hungry at odd hours and it is not unusual to be too tired to cook. Believe me; you will be too exhausted to keep up with everything post partum. Don’t be afraid to ask for help during your pregnancy or request maid cleaning gift certificates as a great baby shower gift that can be used after having a baby.

Having a new baby is a wonderful time in a woman’s life. Knowing the above plan ahead and think of ways to support yourself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually ahead of time before you are all consumed with your new baby. I am a great believer in the internal health of the body for optimum health and reducing stress. I highly recommend all pregnant and new moms take a product called mangosteen and mineral. It gives you body all the vitamins and minerals it needs to cope with pregnancy and post partum stress. For more information view http://www.PregnancySuccessCoach.com
