Digital monitors, on the other hand, encode the signal as it travels between the monitor and the receiver, making it nearly impossible for the sounds to be heard by others, and reduces the possibility of running into interference from other electronic devices. Digital audio wireless systems using DECT, are resistant to interference and have a range up to 300 m. Digital Monitors offer the utmost in privacy, as the signal is encoded so that no one else can hear.

Video devices have also taken advantage of the current technology of the Internet. Some baby monitors have video capabilities so are great for watching your baby from a remote location – maybe other room around the home or out in the garden etc.
